Jolleys Pets at Teesbay Retail Park reveals opening details



Jolleys Pets will open its doors this Valentines Day celebrating in its β€œfluffiest form”, atΒ Teesbay Retail Park, Hartlepool, thisΒ Saturday, February 14.

The store, which has been supporting pets for more than half a century, will welcome customers to its new Hartlepool home, with doors opening from 10am.

Organisers have announced an array of highlights throughout the opening day, including a special pet blessing and a retired police dog biting through a string of sausages to mark the occasion.

A spokesperson from Jolley’s Pets said: β€œWe know just how mad people are about their pets, so thisΒ Valentine’s DayΒ we’re celebrating love in its fluffiest form with aΒ special pet blessing.

β€œJessica Hecker and her dog Ginny a cocker spaniel will walk down the red carpet, and a local celebrant will lead the blessing, while an accordionist plays romantic music.”

Other highlights throughout the day include customers having the chance to win a prize on Jollyes’ iconic Wheel of Fur-tune and pick up a goody bag.

Β There will also be entertainment with games and prizes throughout the day.

The store has created eight jobs in the area and will be run byΒ store manager Adam DavisΒ who previously worked at the Jollyes store in Newcastle.

Adam is also the proud owner of an eleven-month-old Husky called Angel Sapphire.

New instore features include an expandedΒ cat range,Β frozen raw food section and a β€œZoomies” delivery service via Uber Eats. The service will deliver pet food and toys within 30 minutes to customers within five miles.

Leighann Dagleish, deputy manager at Jollyes Hartlepool, previously said she hopes the store will become a trusted part of the community.

She said: β€œI’ve always had a real passion for animals and love helping pet owners find everything they need to keep their pets happy and healthy.

“My aim is to help create a welcoming, friendly store where customers feel confident asking for advice and leave knowing they’ve had great service.

β€œI hope Jollyes Hartlepool becomes a place our community can trust, enjoy visiting, and rely on for all their pet care needs. So don’t forget to bring your furry friends for our exciting opening day.”

In the coming months, the store will also open a pet clinicΒ offering a low-price vaccination and microchipping service from Royal-college trained vets.
