Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, died on Monday in Nashville, Tennessee aged 82.
The country music icon revealed the news of her husband’s passing on Tuesday via a post on X.
“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,” she wrote.

Dean would be laid to rest in a private ceremony. His family requested respect and privacy.
No cause of death was announced.
