Raval Gateshead giving away 100 free chicken tikka meals
Raval Indian Brasserie & Bar, which was named Britain’s National Champion by the British Indian Good Food Guide, will offer free meals to celebrate the success of its new Γ la carte menu.
The giveaway will take place from 5pm on Tuesday, June 30, at the restaurant on Church Street, Tyne Bridge, in Gateshead.
The Maska Chicken Tikka Masala, made with tandoori chicken tikka, butter, tomato, and fenugreek, has quickly become a favourite among customers.
The dish is a take on the classic butter chicken and has been one of the most requested items on the new menu.
The free meals will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, with 100 portions available.
Restaurant manager Nas Islam said the giveaway was a way to thank customers from Newcastle, Gateshead, and across the North East for their support.
He said: “The response to our new menu has exceeded all expectations, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from guests across Newcastle, Gateshead, and the wider North East.
“The Maska Chicken Tikka Masala has quickly become one of the most popular dishes on the menu, and we wanted to give people an opportunity to experience it for themselves.
“Being crowned Britain’s National Champion was a proud moment for our team, but the support we receive from our guests every day means just as much.
“This event is our way of saying thank you to the community that has supported us throughout our journey.”
Raval Indian Brasserie & Bar was the first restaurant from the North East to receive the Guide’s highest national honour.
The restaurant is located near the Hilton Hotel, The Glasshouse, and Newcastle Quayside and has been a favourite for celebrities, including Ian McKellan, Tony Hadley, and Brian McFadden.
The free Maska Chicken Tikka Masala will be available from 5pm on Tuesday, June 30, until all 100 portions have been claimed.
