TripAdvisor: Darlington ‘gem’ has over 300 ‘perfect’ reviews
Salt, located on Grange Road, has picked up a host of good reviews on TripAdvisor, being praised for serving the ‘best burger in town’.
It has been awarded 329 ‘excellent’ scores, the highest level thatĀ can be given by a reviewer on the site.
The menu dishes out smash burgers and wraps with a variety of flavours including truffle-infused mayo on a beef burger and Korean chicken burgers.
One reviewer, Julie P, said: “This is the second time I have visited this restaurant. Easily the best burgers in Darlington!
“Not a huge menu but that’s good as sometimes it can be overwhelming when the menu is huge. Will definitely be back for a third visit!”
Another reviewer said: “What can I say? This place is a little gem in Darlington.
“The restaurant is super cosy and chilled. I ordered “My Dad is Bald.” I am not a fan of BBQ sauce, so I asked if I could have mayo instead. This was not a problem.
“I can honestly say this has to be the best burger I have had in a long time. I shared some burger fries, which were also delicious. Definitely share a side as it’s super filling. I will definitely be back!”

“We managed to get a table on a Saturday night and were treated to a warm welcome from very friendly staff. It was quite busy but not too cramped or noisy like other places and the background music was nicely playing in the background and not drowning out our conversation.
“I rarely eat burgers but the āmy Dad is Baldā took my fancy and it was delicious, I needed up eating the last few bites really slowly because I did not want it to end.”
