Santoro’s in Yarm hits market months after shock closure
Regulars at Santoro’s, on Yarm High Street, were left devastated in February after the family-run restaurant announced it was closing for good.
The news, which was confirmed via a sign in the window of the site, came just months after bosses marked 45 years in business.ย
No reason behind the closure was given – and since then, the restaurant has remained frozen in time, with blindfolds down and the front door shut.ย

But now, Santoro’s has hit the rental market, and is now available for ยฃ40,000 per year.
A new sign from Thomas:Stevenson has been erected in the windows of Santoro’s and on the side of the building, advertising the space is now to let.
As previously reported, the closure ofย Santoro’s was met with shock from Yarm residents, with the reasoning behind the decision still not yet confirmed.ย
The closure notice – which has since been taken down – stated: “After a wonderful 45 years of business, we have decided to permanently close our doors.

“Weโd like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us over the years. For voucher refunds, please contact us via email.”
Vincenzo Serino was the founding family member of the business, but sadly died in 2022.
His son Ricci and grandsons, Mikey and Joe, set out to continue the good reputation of the restaurant following Vincenzoโs passing.
The letting of the restaurant, which is situated opposite the Town Hall beside Costa and Savers, has been described as a โrare opportunityโ by the agents.
