Salmonella is a bacteria that causes food poisoning, which can lead to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, nausea and fever.
Symptoms usually develop around 12 to 72 hours after exposure.
If your symptoms are severe or last more than a week, you should consult a doctor.
What is a product recall?
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be ‘withdrawn’ (taken off the shelves) or ‘recalled’ (when customers are asked to return the product).
