Hotel Chocolat velvetiser café coming to Durham retail park

Arnison Retail Park is set to home a brand new Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser café next week on March 31, right in time for Easter.

The new 5,104-square-foot store will offer a selection of Hotel Chocolat’s premium chocolates, alongside its signature Velvetised drinking chocolate.

The café will serve 18 different Velvetised flavours, available hot, over ice, or as a Choc Shake, with a range of dairy and plant-based milk options.

Frankie Haynes, Hotel Chocolat’s omnichannel director, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the Hotel Chocolat experience to Durham, Arnison Centre.

“Our new Velvetiser Café is designed to offer a relaxing space where people can enjoy our signature drinks and treats at a leisurely pace.” 

She added that the Durham store is part of the company’s broader expansion strategy, she said: “The Durham store marks another step in our expansion, and we’re excited to continue offering more of these delightful, out-of-town experiences across the country in the coming years.”

To mark the opening, Hotel Chocolat will offer surprise giveaways to customers making purchases on the first day.

The store will be open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
