Greggs poised to open new Darlington town centre store
The sausage roll chain has lodged plans to transform the former Pharmacy 2 U and Bright House store, off the Tubwell Row entrance to the complex.ย
The store will have two entrances, one from inside the shopping centre and another direct from the street, which will have a ramp inside.ย
Work is already underway on transforming the site, with pictures showing how boards have been erected around both the new entrances.ย
Crews were also spotted this week working on installing the new ramp.

Documents submitted to Darlington Borough Council show that the chainโs famous logo would be installed both outside and inside if the plans are approved, as well as other graphics teasing treats like coffee, pizza, and bacon rolls.ย
Greggs currently has four locations in Darlington town centre, including on Northgate, Skinnergate, High Row, and at the Cornmill.
