Greggs is giving away free iced drinks and coffees

The bakery chain is offering treats to loyal customers who sign up, it says: “Download the Greggs App and get a warm (or cold) welcome with any regular hot drink or iced drink on us. Whether it’s a freshly ground, Fairtrade Flat White or a refreshing and fruity Mango & Strawberry Cooler – get your first one for free when you scan the app.”

They also give out a birthday treat to app holders.

“We’re firm believers that cake tastes better on your birthday,” they say. “That’s why we’ll add a free sweet treat to your Greggs App wallet every year so you can celebrate with whatever your heart (or sweet tooth) desires.”

This is on top of the usual loyalty stamps – collect nine stamps in a category and the 10th will be free.

There’s also Greggs exclusives, they say: “Loving Greggs is a lifestyle. That’s why we’re all for baking the most mouthwatering experiences for our top app scanners.

The rules say all hot drinks and iced drinks are eligible for this promotion – but they don’t class soup as a hot drink.

“If you redeem your welcome gift on a hot drink, it can be redeemed on any hot drink in any size,” they say. “The welcome gift must be redeemed before its expiry date.”
