Hurworth Beer Festival coming to Rockliffe Park this summer

The three-day Hurworth Beer Festival will take place from Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28, at Rockliffe Park Cricket Club in Hurworth.

Packed with cricket, live music, and family-friendly fun, the event promises something for everyone.

The festival is a joint effort between Rockliffe Park Cricket Club and Hurworth Village Hall.

The event kicks off on the Friday evening from 5pm to 11pm, with music from DJ Mac, a selection of beers, and other refreshments.

Entry for the Friday session is £4, or £3 with the early-bird discount.

Saturday’s programme runs from noon until midnight and includes a cricket match between Rockliffe Park’s first XI and Sedgefield first XI.

There will also be live music from the band Channel 4 News Team and big-screen football.

Football fans can also catch England’s World Cup group-stage match against Panama, which will be shown on the big screen.

Saturday entry is £6, or £5 with the early-bird rate.

Sunday wraps up the festival with a family-friendly day from 11am to 8pm, featuring a seven-a-side cricket tournament.

Entry on the final day is free.

Organisers hope the inclusive Sunday schedule will attract families and villagers who may not have attended earlier sessions.

A full weekend pass costs £9, or £7 for early-bird buyers.
