Contain Your Rage in Newton Aycliffe issues update ahead of opening

Neil Sowels, 49, from Newton Aycliffe, who owns Neilz Vehicle Body Repairs on Whinfield Drive, Newton Aycliffe Industrial Estate, is set to open ‘Contain Your Rage’ in a neighbouring unit.

The new venture will give customers the chance to release stress in a controlled environment, with a range of smashable items available.

Neil said the idea had been in the works for some time, adding: “I have always wanted to do something like this for a while and floated the idea of initially doing it in a converted container, but just didn’t have the time with the car business, so then decided to adapt and do it in the spare unit we have.

“We will offer lots of smashable items where people can get their stress and rage out.

“We are fully insured and offer all the safety gear and PPE and we’re now really excited to open.”

In an update, the business has announced that it will be £35 for 30 minutes or £25 for 20 minutes in the rage room.

The business posted on Facebook: “Well we are are getting excited and a bit nervous about opening , currently sorting a date out so keep a look out for that and signs will be going up very soon.”

The room will be available for children 12 years and up with anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult, and sessions will be limited to two people per room.

The rage room will operate with safety in mind, providing all necessary protective equipment for participants.

It is set to be open Monday through Friday 1pm to 7pm.
