The company’s geoenvironmental department, in collaboration with the structures team, has already carried out ground investigation tasks at Liverpool John Lennon and Manchester International airports.

These sites are upgrading their operations and facilities with improved LED security lighting, and brought in RWO to supervise the initial phase of the airside improvements.

RWO has also been tasked with ground investigation work in Stevenage, where the local council is replacing lighting masts across the town centre.(Image: Simon Williams)

The new projects reflect a busy period of activity for CU Phosco over the past two years, as RWO’s geoenvironmental department aims for Β£1 million in revenues by 2026.

Chris Rudd, director of geoenvironmental, said: “We are seeing a rapid expansion of our operations, building our growing footprint of national work for CU Phosco.

“Along with other clients, they benefit from the added value insight, fully integrated turnkey services and leadership the RWO group of engineering services brings to client work.(Image: Simon Williams)

“Looking ahead, we are seeing opportunities across the UK as the commercial and industrial sectors continue to invest in improving their infrastructure and operations.

“Indeed, there’s plenty of geoenvironmental engineering work in the long term with even more projects coming online soon.”

The firm has also secured further work for PD Ports at Tees Port and Banks Group.

RWO works with leading house builders and construction companies, providing civil, structural, and geoenvironmental engineering support for regional and national builders and projects.

The company is continuing to explore opportunities for further expansion as the commercial and industrial sectors invest in infrastructure improvements.

The firm anticipates long-term demand for geoenvironmental engineering work, with more projects expected to come online in the near future.
