North East engineering company RWO reports strong growth

RWO, a civil structural and geoenvironmental engineering company, has seen sustainable growth over the previous 12 months due to new projects in the data centre, commercial, and residential sectors.
The ‘resilient’ performance has also secured them a ‘healthy forward order book’.
The company, based in Seaton Burn, Newcastle, works with national developers, contractors, and local authorities.
They have reported a 20 per cent increase in revenues in the financial year 2025.
This growth has resulted in an overall turnover of £3.5 million, which they aim to increase to £4 million in 2026.
The revenue increase has been largely driven by investment in skilled engineering talent, a restructuring of the business into a discipline-based operation, and the 35-strong workforce.
The success of numerous projects, including education and police training facilities, and a package of civil, structural, and geoenvironmental engineering services for various data centre projects, have contributed to this ‘prosperous year’.
In the last quarter, the firm has also obtained structural and site engineering work for a leader in the manufacture and installation of high mast lights for airports and highways, as well as for development specialists, the Banks Group.
Managing director, Ross Oakley, said: “We continue to remain focused on delivering high quality services following a realignment of operations, all backed by unsurpassed experience and project management expertise to deliver the services clients require.
“We have further strengthened our order book and expanded our service offering, boosting the foundations of our business – all supported by a dedicated and skilled team.
“We expect to see increased volumes of work across all sectors but especially in important residential and data centre markets as clients continue to invest and push on with their projects to meet government targets for housing and the growing use of AI and data driven technologies.”
The firm intends to further strengthen its operations by recruiting more skilled workers and expanding technical resources.
