NE Volume music bar Stockton struggling with rising costs
NE Volume music bar, located in Stockton, has become a cherished hub for live music since opening in 2020.
However, financial pressures have put the venue’s future at risk, prompting co-owners Lee and Adam Allcock to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise £5,000 in the coming weeks.

As bar sales alone can no longer cover the essential running costs, the future of our beloved venue is at risk.
“It’s a reality many grassroots venues face. In fact, more than 40 per cent of UK music venues ran at a loss in 2024, and over 160 have closed their doors in just the past two years. Without the support of our community, we fear we could be next.”

The funds raised will go toward stabilising finances, upgrading the PA system, and enhancing stage lighting, ensuring a better experience for both performers and music lovers alike.
