Croxdale Group Durham, on the A167, will now offer Jeep and Alfa Romeo, in addition to brands like Citroën, MG, DS Automobiles, and the recently launched Leapmotor.

Mr Rockingham recognises the rich automotive heritage that both Alfa Romeo and Jeep bring to customers old and new.

He said: “We’re looking forward to an exciting journey ahead.”

Speaking specifically about Jeep, he added this is a brand that ‘resonates with adventure, resilience, and innovation, values that align perfectly with what Croxdale Group strives to deliver’.

He said: “Having previously managed three Jeep dealerships, I’ve seen firsthand the passion and loyalty that Jeep inspires in its owners.

“It’s an honour to bring this brand to Durham and offer our customers vehicles that are as versatile as they are legendary, and on a personal note, I’m thrilled to once again represent this iconic marque.”

Founded in Milan in 1910, Alfa Romeo has built a reputation for creating vehicles that combine Italian design, ‘cutting-edge’ engineering, and a passion for performance.

From early racing success in the 1920s and 1930s to modern innovations like the Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Stelvio SUV, Alfa Romeo is synonymous with driving pleasure and automotive artistry.

Graham Elliott, Croxdale’s general sales manager, said: “Alfa Romeo has a unique ability to blend motorsport heritage with everyday elegance.

“This is a brand that appeals to drivers who appreciate sophisticated design and exhilarating performance, and we’re excited to introduce it to our customers.

“Those who value craftsmanship, individuality, and the thrill of driving, will find vehicles to meet their distinctive tastes in Alfa Romeo and we’re looking forward to helping these drivers find their perfect match within an exceptional lineup.”

Founded in the early 1940s, Jeep’s journey began with the development of the Willys MB, a robust and versatile vehicle designed for the US Army during World War II.

Known as the ‘workhorse of World War II’, the Willys MB became an enduring symbol of reliability and ingenuity.

After the war, Jeep transitioned from military utility to civilian life, launching the CJ (Civilian Jeep) series in 1945.

This series set the stage for Jeep’s future as a ‘leader in off-road capability and rugged design’.

Over the decades, Jeep has evolved its lineup to include a range of vehicles, from the ‘legendary’ Wrangler to the family-friendly Grand Cherokee, all while staying true to its roots of durability and adventure.
