TripAdvisor: Bishop Auckland restaurant with ‘the best BBQ’
Smokehouse Railway Street in Bishop Auckland has attracted rave reviews on the online reviewΒ website, earning itself a near-perfect 4.8 star rating.
Of the reviews into the site, 46 of the 49 are rated ‘excellent’, the highest score possible on the site.
Serving meats from a smoker, the venue is praised for the quality of its food and its variety.

“This place is the best food I’ve eaten in a long time, it’s so good,” they said.
“Definitely the best smoked BBQ style food I’ve ever had. I had the burnt ends as a starter, and boy, were they good. Massive portion too.
“My partner hadΒ the belly pork, which was also cooked to perfection. For main I had ribs, which were very tasty, with twice-cooked chips (amazing again, proper good chips) and tasty corn on the cob.
“I was so greedy, I got a dessert to,o which was a blondie with ice cream! All the food was delicious and I couldn’t fault it. The service was fantastic, and they have a very friendly team.”

“We had the biggest platter on the menu so we could sample as much as possible, and everything was absolutely gorgeous.
