The custom-made piece Holden wore at Crufts on Thursday, March 5, was designed and embroidered by Beth Wilson Embroidery, based in Stockton’s Digital House.

The jacket, commissioned by Barking Heads dog and cat food brand, features embroidered portraits of Holden’s two dogs, Rudie and Buddy, along with a scattering of blue hearts.

Holden, who is a brand ambassador for Barking Heads, shared the jacket with her 2.8 million Instagram followers and said: “How gorgeous is this? Thank you so much @bethwilsonembroidery @barkingandmeowingheads.”

Beth Wilson, owner and lead designer at the Stockton-based studio, said: “It’s so surreal to see something we worked on showcased on such a huge platform, and even more special seeing how grateful they were to receive their jackets.

“It really captures the essence of what we do, creating unique pieces that are deeply personal to the people who wear them.

“It’s amazing to see our hard work appreciated, especially by celebrities.”

The jacket was created by Ms Wilson alongside studio assistant Ellie Bedford, using a photograph of Holden’s dogs as the design reference.

A similar embroidered jacket was also made for Adem Fehmi, a professional dog behaviourist, trainer, and fellow Barking Heads ambassador.

Ms Wilson’s work has attracted other high-profile clients, including Charlotte Tilbury, Victoria’s Secret, and Mary O’Sullivan, who showcased at Irish Fashion Week 25.

The artist, who was named one of the Tees Valley Combined Authority’s Tees Valley Artists of the Year, ended 2025 on a high note after winning Small Business of the Year at the Tees Businesswomen Awards.

She also received a National Embroidery Award for her Love and Romance dress.

Ms Wilson has built a following in the alternative wedding market, creating embroidered denim and leather jackets for brides, as well as bespoke suits and embroidered pet portraits.

Her dog Helga is a regular companion in the studio, where a special corner is reserved for her.

The team recently welcomed Northumbria University student Jan Tomas for a nine-month work placement, after he was inspired by Ms Wilson’s open studio event in December.

The Tees Valley Artists of the Year programme is delivered by the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority, with funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
