Sainsbury’s shoppers have 5 days left to claim Nectar offer

For the next five days (until February 2) customers who have a Nectar Card can make the most of half price offers on a range of fruit and vegetables available in supermarkets across the UK.

Just some of the healthy items included are blueberries, avocados, apples, kale and mangoes.

Additionally, Sainsbury’s has revealed it is also offering Nectar prices on everyday essentials such as yoghurts and cheese to make it “easier for customers to eat well throughout the day”.

Introducing the new initiate which runs until the beginning of next month, the supermarket said: “For many of us, life has never felt busier. Between work, family and constant demands on our attention, finding food that’s tasty, convenient and nutritious can often be tricky.

“At Sainsbury’s, we’re passionate about making sure that everyone can enjoy good food and have long-supported efforts to help customers eat well.

“We have decades-long heritage of helping make nutritious food tastier, simpler and easier for everyone – from offering more transparency on product packs by being the first UK supermarket to introduce traffic light labelling to rewarding customers who eat well through annual Nectar challenges – but today we know we must go even further to make good food for everyone.”

Additionally, there was a further wage increase to £12.60 per hour in August (£13.85 for those based in London).

By August, the pay for hourly-paid colleagues increased by 58% since 2018.

Sainsbury’s said the increase was split last year to allow the supermarket to navigate a “challenging cost environment”, while ensuring it continues to lead the sector in how it rewards its “brilliant colleagues”.
