Newcastleβs GT3 Architects celebrates 10-year milestone
GT3 Architects, based in Newcastle, was formed in 2016 from the merger of GT Architects and +3 Architecture.
It has since grown into a national practice with studios in Newcastle, Nottingham, London, and Belfast.

Mark Gowdridge, co-founder and director, said: “Weβve always believed in doing things differently β putting people, purpose and performance on an equal footing.
“As weβve grown, weβve worked hard to stay grounded in that thinking.
“Today, our role is not just to design great spaces β itβs to help clients navigate complexity, create viable briefs, and deliver sustainable, successful projects in what remains a challenging marketplace.”
The practice is marking its 10th anniversary with a rebrand, set to launch later this year, and said it remains committed to investing in its people.

GT3 has made recent promotions and strategic hires, including the opening of its Belfast studio, led by senior architects Darren Breslin and Damien Graham.
The expansion in Northern Ireland was guided by the people already embedded in the region.
Simon Dunstan, co-founder and director, said: “We set out to build a practice where people and purpose come first.
“Ten years on, weβre proud of the culture weβve created, the people weβve brought into the business, and the projects weβve delivered together.
“This milestone is an opportunity to recognise our journey so far, and to look ahead.
“Weβve expanded our reach, grown our team, welcomed five new directors, and continued to strengthen our design approach β always focused on real impact and long-term value for our clients and communities.”
The 65-strong practice continues to focus on projects that deliver social value alongside commercial success.
