Michelin-chefs confirmed for ThirdBite at Wylam Brewery

They will take part in ThirdBite, the 2026 edition of BiteBack, a charity street food festival raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

The chefs taking part in include Lisa Goodwin-Allen of Lancashire’s Northcote; Paul Leonard of Forest Side in Grasmere in the Lake District; Stuart Ralston of Lyla in Edinburgh; and James Knappett of Kitchen Table in London.

The event returns on Sunday, July 19, at Wylam Brewery in Newcastle, with all proceeds supporting Cancer Research UK.

Since its launch, BiteBack has raised nearly £200,000.

Siân Byerley, co-owner of Restaurant Pine and a key organiser of ThirdBite, said: “Last year’s SecondBite was incredible and raised a huge amount of money for Cancer Research UK.

“But we’re determined to go one better for ThirdBite 2026.

“We’ve called in a few favours to bring a stellar line-up to Wylam Brewery and help us raise as much as possible in the fight against cancer.

“We’d love you to join us on 19th July, make a real difference, and enjoy some amazing food along the way.”

This year, organisers hope to beat last year’s total of almost £117,000.

Each chef will serve 500 portions of their own take on street food, providing guests with a more casual, inventive taste of high-end culinary talent.

The festival aims to give food lovers a rare chance to experience Michelin-level cooking in a relaxed setting.

Entry to the event is free, with dish tokens priced at £10.

Tokens must be bought in advance.

Entertainment will include sets from DJs and a special online auction offering food experiences and prizes.

All funds raised will go to Cancer Research UK, which supports more than 4,000 researchers, clinicians, and nurses working to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.
