TripAdvisor: Olive Stone cafe in Stanley hosts ‘supper club’
The Olive Stone in Tantobie, Stanley, has a breakfast and lunch menu with a brekkie option of a ‘beforenoon tea’, a twist on the classic afternoon tea dish – this option includes a mini bacon sandwich, croissant, raspberry cake, cream cheese and tomato bruschetta, yogurt granola pot and mini pancakes.
It has garnered a positive reputation on TripAdvisor with 65 ‘excellent’ scores, the highest possible to be given by reviewers on the site.
A reviewer on the site called Tomsuz said: “Great value for money with the pizza, dessert and drink offer.
“We booked for Friday the £20 deal of any pizza from the menu, dessert which was any cake from the counter or cheesecake (2 to choose from) and any drink.
“If you’ve never had a pizza from here you’re really missing out, they are the best. The restaurant is small but perfectly formed, cosy and intimate.”
Gail S said: “We booked the monthly Saturday supper club. The evening was perfect!
“Seating is limited in the gorgeously styled bakery, tucked away in a terraced street. But what they lack in size, they make up in quality.
“The food was presented beautifully in vintage crockery and tasted as good as it looked. Service was excellent. Would definitely book again.”

“Really tasty, ingredients so fresh. My friend said her food was delicious too. The crockery and glassware was lovely.
