Darlington Ivy Salon apprentice wins national L’Oréal award
Olivia Braithwaite, 17, is one of just five to win the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Future Talent Award.
The ceremony was held on Monday, June 30, at Old Billingsgate in London.
Olivia attended with Ivy House Salon owner, Nicola Linfoot, where she has trained and worked for more than a year.

The teen is set to complete her Level 2 hair qualification in September and is building a strong clientele.
And she is already gaining national recognition with her talent for hairdressing.
Boss Nicole said: “We are so proud of Olivia, she has been doing amazing since she joined us.
“She has created unique hairstyles such as ‘peekaboo colours’ and has come on so much since she has started.”
The L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards, are one of the UK’s leading hair colour competitions, celebrating the best in professional colour, creativity, and styling.
Now in its 69th year, the awards spotlight top talent from across the country, with finalists competing in categories such as creative, afro, future talent, and specialist.
Known as a prestigious platform for both emerging and established hair artists, the event recognises innovation, technical skill and standout colour work in the British hairdressing industry.
