House of Tides chef Kenny Atkinson talks at NRB26, Manchester


Kenny Atkinson, a double Michelin-starred chef based in Newcastle, will be one of the speakers at this year’s Northern Restaurant & Bar (NRB) trade show, taking place in Manchester on March 10 and 11.

Held at Manchester Central, the event isβ€―sponsored by Uber Eats and designedβ€―for hospitality professionals, including operators, chefs, suppliers, and industry leaders.

Mr Atkinson, chef patron of Newcastle’s House of Tides and Solstice by Kenny Atkinson, will take the live stage to discuss his career and future plans, including a new restaurant in London.

Chris Brazier, group event director for NRB26, said: “We’re excited to share this first wave of speakers for NRB26, which reflects the calibre of talent and leadership within the hospitality industry right now.

“With more names still to come, this year’s programme is shaping up to offer honest insight, practical learning and inspiration for operators navigating an evolving landscape.”

The NRB Keynote Theatre will also feature senior leaders from major UK hospitality brands.

Laura Harper Hinton, co-founder and CEO of Caravan, will talk about the company’s journey from London to its northern debut in Manchester in 2024.

Will Beckett, co-founder and CEO of Hawksmoor, will share insights into building a nationally recognised restaurant group, maintaining brand integrity at scale and navigating the challenges of modern hospitality.

The trade show will offer two days of live demonstrations, talks, and networking across themes including food and drink, technology, and equipment.

NRB26 follows a record-breaking year in 2025, when more than 12,000 visitors attended and more than 350 exhibitors took part.

Further speakers for the NRB speaker programme will be announced in the coming weeks.
