Paul Howard from organisers Durham BID said: “This is the first restaurant week in 2026 and it is a real stabiliser of revenues after Christmas for businesses in Durham.
“The real aim is to bring people into restaurants in the city. It has really grown over the years.
“There are some really good offers where you can try something new or if there is a favourite of yours, to go back.”
