Brits reveal the discontinued Easter treats they miss most
Chocolates and other sweet treats are a big part of Easter celebrations in the UK, with major brands including the likes of Cadbury, Nestle and Mars all releasing various seasonal products each year for shoppers to consume.
But not all of its chocolates and treats hang around forever, with many being discontinued to keep up with the changing tastes of customers.

Several Reddit users complained that Easter eggs no longer come with a free mug.
One person commented: “I miss any egg with a free mug.”
Another added: “BRING BACK THE MUGS.”
While a third person continued: “Came here to say this!! My last KitKat one got smashed three years ago. Absolutely gutted.”

Willy Wonka Weggs
Several people commented saying they missed Nestle’s Willy Wonka Weggs the most.
One person described the Wonka Easter treat as a square egg that looked round.
They added: “They were purple coloured white chocolate with a bright pink, fruity cream filling.
“They were so sickly, but also delightful.”
Another fan posted: “I know I’m one of the few people who actually liked them, but dammit I could really go for a purple cube filled with green fondant right now.”
While a third of Reddit users responded, saying: “Yes!! Until I saw this comment, I was wondering if those cubes were just a fever dream. I loved the entire, weird Willy Wonka range.
“Decadent, original, inspired. Thick, dyed white chocolate, creamy fillings, fun packaging.
“They also had an excellent crackling candy bar that was so aggressive, it had my little sister in tears after one bite.”

Mackintosh Toffee and Mallow Eggs
Mackintosh Toffee and Mallow Eggs are believed to have been discontinued in the UK around 20 years ago, according to one Reddit user.
Despite this, it’s clear they are still missed by many across the UK.

One person posted: “I looked forward to them every Easter, and have never found an alternative.”
Another fan added: “I came looking for this post! This is surely the only correct answer. Loved these as a kid.”
While a third Reddit user commented: “Mackintosh’s toffee-filled eggs were the best ever and nothing comes remotely close.”
Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon Cartons
Cadbury discontinued its Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon Cartons in the lead-up to Easter 2023, a decision which left fans “heartbroken”.
One fan, at the time, posted on X (formerly Twitter) saying: “Why would they just discontinue the egg n spoons like that. heartbroken.”
Another person added: “This is a travesty! I revolt! I refuse to believe you’ve discontinued such an amazing line of chocolate!”
Two years on, and it seems fans are still missing the Cadbury Easter treat.
One person, posting on Reddit about which Easter treat they missed the most, said: “Omg I forgot about the egg n spoon it was so good!!”
While another fan added: “Absolutely egg n spoon ones, I tried aldi’s version but it’s nothing compared to the old cadbury ones.”

Refreshers Easter eggs
According to Reddit fans, Swizzels Matlow’s Refreshers used to do an Easter egg back in the early 2000s.
One fan said it was a white chocolate egg with crushed Refreshers pieces and described the discontinued Easter treat as “god tier”.
Another person added: “Yes someone else remembers this egg! It was amazing, I think about it every easter.
“If you Google it nowadays you can’t even find a picture it’s as if it never existed.”
