Home Bargains: New Sunderland store to open this weekend
The store, located on Leechmere Road, in Sunderland, is the result of a ยฃ5 million investment by the discount retailer.
Opening on Saturday, March 22 at 8am, the store will create 71 new jobs in the city.
It is the third Home Bargains shop in the city.
Victoria Rowe, the new store manager, said: “I am thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newest store in Leechmere, marking our third location in Sunderland and our 36th store in the North East region.

The 26,146 sq ft store will offer homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food.
It will also include a Home Bargains bakery, cafรฉ and garden centre.
