Signs go up for new Tomahawk takeaway in Ingleby Barwick
The popular firm – lauded for its Himalayan salt dry-aged steaks – is preparing to open its latest venture in the former Southern China takeaway at Lowfields Shops.Β
The new takeaway has been months in the making, with signs last December confirming the brand would be opening its first site on the housing estate.Β
Now, new Tomahawk branding has been erected outside the takeaway as the opening date grows closer, with a large logo printed on the brick and another sign beside the windows.

Progress is well underway on the interior too, with pictures posted online teasing the stylish white decor and branding on the glass front.
Tomahawk previously planned to open the takeaway in mid February – and while an exact opening date is not known, the venue is now all set to open this month.
Earlier this year, The Northern Echo revealed some of the exciting menu items being served up at the takeaway.
It came several weeks after signs for the new site were first spotted on several roundabouts across Ingleby Barwick, stirring up excitement.
The Tomahawk takeaway will incorporate some of the chain’s most popular food items, with the menu including steak and fries to go, a selection of smash burgers, shawarma chicken, and a “unique” kebab.

Sunday dinner lovers will also be pleased to hear that a full selection of meats will be available for Sunday lunch to go – and those with a sweet tooth will be able to enjoy cakes, desserts, and even a milkshake section.Β
The takeaway is planning to be open from 11am until late for seven days a week, offering both collection and delivery options.Β
