Newcastle’s Bulien named one of UK’s fastest-growing tech firms
Bulien, based at The Core in Newcastle Helix, was ranked sixth in the Tech 200, an annual list of the fastest-growing tech suppliers in the UK public sector, published by Tussell and techUK.
The company, which helps public sector organisations make better use of their data, was founded in 2018 by David Westwood and Chris McEleavey.
Since then, it has created 18 jobs and worked with clients across the UK.
David Westwood said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised by Tussell and techUK as one of the nation’s fastest-growing tech suppliers to the public sector.
“The achievement is in no small part due to the hard work and dedication of all our technical and commercial teams, who are constantly receiving outstanding customer feedback in our public sector work in partnership with Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI.
“As the UK public sector continues to embrace the possibilities of no code and low code software, the projects we deliver have proven to save our clients both time and money, while boosting efficiency.
“From HR analytics to finance and predictive network analysis to fraud detection, our solutions have revolutionised how so many disciplines go about their day-to-day work and it doesn’t stop there.
“As we look ahead to 2025, our goal is very much to continue building on this success by changing the way more people and organisations look at data and help drive real positive change across the public sector.
“This is only the start.”
Bulien, which has offices in Newcastle and London, is a member of Dynamo North East, the region’s largest tech sector business network.
Dr David Dunn, chief executive of Dynamo North East, said: “The Bulien team have really changed how public sector bodies across the UK view data, so it is fantastic to see them receiving such recognition for their efforts.”
