Hartlepool café The Dancing Cup to close doors to relocate

The Dancing Cup, on York Road in Hartlepool, announced on social media last week (June 8) it will soon be embarking on an “exciting chapter” and closing the doors to its current venue on York Road for good.

The post said: “Something new and exciting is happening at The Dancing Cup.

“In order to bring this new exciting chapter to you successfully, we will be closing our doors for the final time on Sunday, June 21.

“We will be opening our new doors after a short closure at a new location – not too far from the current premises and we will be looking forward to serving you once again bigger and better.”

The café is known for serving up breakfasts, lunches sweet treats and on and offsite catering.

While the new venue has yet to be announced, the owners said they will be getting it ready as soon as possible to invite customers into the new premises.

The post added: “We will be back as quickly as we can and look forward to inviting you into your new café.

“It is normal service until the June 21, so come and see us before we move.

“From JP and all the team at The Dancing Cup.”

Since announcing the news, many longstanding customers have taken to social media to share their support.

One person said: “Good luck guys. See you all soon with plenty of sticky toffee pudding.”

While another said: “I can’t wait to see your new café. Good luck with the move and exciting times ahead.”

The café currently boasts five-star reviews on TripAdvisor, with one person praising it for its “fantastic service” and “wonderful staff”.

The café will remain at its current location of 144-146 York Road, Hartlepool, TS26 9DE, until June 21.
