Sara Davies makes visit to Bloom n Witches in Spennymoor

Sara Davies, who grew up in Coundon, visited Bloom n Witches in Spennymoor at the weekend.

Owners Danielle Jackson and Abbie Brown said Sara was “lovely” and “down-to-earth”.

They said: “She is absolutely lovely; she was like just like us. She was enjoying a bit of ‘me’ time with her friends and relaxing.

“She was very down-to-earth and approachable as well. Our children were in on the day, and we asked if they could get a photo with her, and she made a big fuss of them. She also introduced herself to all the staff as well.”

Sara visited the café after Danielle and Abbie reached out to the TV star.

“We sent her a broomstick, one of our decorated besoms,” the pair said.

“We left a little note saying what an inspiration she is as an entrepreneur. She got in touch and said we had piqued her interest, and she arranged for her and her friends to come along and have a full day with us.”

Sara and her friends spent the day crafting, having tarot readings and drinking coffee.

She also told Danielle and Abbie she plans on bringing her family back for the full experience.

And the pair said the visit “meant the world” to them.

“It motivates us as a small business that somebody such as Sara, a big entrepreneur and businesswoman, has seen something in us,” they said.

“It inspires us and motivates us to drive the business forward and has shown us we are doing something right.

“We are just really proud of ourselves.”

Sara herself posted about her visit to the café, telling her followers she was “blown away”.

Posting to Facebook, she said: “Had an amazing time with the lasses at Bloom n Witches in Spennymoor – how did I have no idea this little gem was on my doorstep.

“We did some crafting, some flower arranging, lots of gossiping and having our ‘crystal infused coffee’, we all had a reading and spent a small fortune in the shop.

“A very successful day all round, I would say.

“I love seeing local businesses thriving, but it’s always down to the passion, vision and drive of the wonderful entrepreneurs running them, and I was blown away by these guys from the moment I walked through the door. Long may their success continue.”
