Grandpaβs Fish Bar confirms Darlington date on May road trip
Grandpaβs Fish Bar, based in Lanchester, will stop at Darlington Railway Athletic Sports and Social Club on Friday, May 29, as it takes its new catering van out on the road throughout May.
The chippy, run by brothers Rich and Aidan Weatherburn, said on Facebook: βOur van is out and about A LOT over May. We have so many pop ups for you to choose from with plenty going on all over the North East! Have a good look and get the dates in your diaries.β
The Darlington stop is one of 17 pop-up dates listed for May, with the van also due at venues across County Durham and beyond, including Bishop Auckland, Consett, Stanley, Langley Park and Beamish.
The full May tour includes a mix of street food markets, community centres, pubs, cricket clubs and gala events, with the Darlington date set to run from 4pm to 10pm.
The van will be making stops in the following places:

Grandpaβs Fish Bar was launched after the brothers bought a catering van in February and fitted it out with fryers.
The business is named after their grandfather, who the pair said described the project as the result of βmonths of hard workβ.
The van is expected to appear at food festivals, weddings and village events as the brothers build a mobile fish and chip business across the region.
