Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies visits Willington play café

Sara Davies, who grew up in Coundon, visited The Little Play Place in Willington on Sunday, April 12, over the Easter half-term.

Staff enjoyed chatting with the famous entrepreneur and were delighted when she posed for pictures with the team.

Sara became is one of the country’s leading entrepreneurs as founder of Crafter’s Companion and up until last year she was an investor on Dragons’ Den.

This isn’t the first time the café has been visited by TV talent. Just two weeks after they opened their doors, Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt also visited them and even posted the play café on her social media.

The Little Play Place in Willington was launched by husband and wife Bethany, 26, and Clark Kay, 36, on June 27, last year.

After spending endless hours in play areas with their two young children the Willington pair decided to open their own.

Clark runs a separate business so Bethany is at the helm of The Little Play Place and receives help from her cousin, sister and nana.

Designed for children aged 0-6, the play café aims to offer an environment where children can explore realistic themed play zones including a mini supermarket, tea room, construction site and vets.

The Little Play Place is located at Unit 7C in Harvey Court, Willington (DL15 0FB). It is open Monday-Friday: 9.30am – 2.45pm and Saturday – Sunday: 10pm – 4pm.
