Harrogate Food and Drink Festival returning this year
The Harrogate Food and Drink Festival will take place on The Stray on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, featuring a packed programme of live entertainment, culinary delights, and activities for all ages.
This yearβs headline acts include The UB40 Experience and The Soul Shebang, alongside a full line-up of vocalists, bands, and community performers.
Michael Johnston, festival director, said: “Part of what creates the vibrant, community-led atmosphere at our event is the wonderful mix of local acts and up-and-coming musicians that take to the stage each and every year.
“Itβs important to us that we deliver a diverse and exciting line-up thatβs testament to the regionβs wealth of talent while offering a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy.”
Saturdayβs music will begin at 11am with Wil Forrester, followed by The UB40 Experience at 5.45pm, who will bring classic reggae hits to the stage.
Sundayβs headliner, The Soul Shebang, will perform at 5.15pm, delivering soulful covers backed by a live brass section.
Other musical acts across the weekend include Old Time Rags, The Johnny Storm Band, Leeds City Stompers, and Ibiza Sax Classics.
In addition to the music, the festival will offer a full programme of entertainment and activities.
This year introduces the Sizzling Showdown Arena, featuring daily competitions and interactive family-friendly shows.
Highlights include a dog show, chilli-eating challenge, and the newly expanded Foodie Olympics, with games and crowd participation.
Visitors can also take part in the new inflatable banana jousting ring, offering a light-hearted challenge for those willing to test their balance and strength.
The arena and jousting experience are included in the ticket price.
The festival also features a live cookery theatre, roaming performers, and magic shows, ensuring entertainment for guests of all ages.
Early bird tickets remain on sale for a limited time, priced at Β£6.95 for adults, Β£4.95 for under-16s, and free entry for children under five.
