Former Sambuca Consett restaurant on the market after move
Consett favourite, Sambuca, moved from its Victoria Road location to a new site in the Old Courthouse on November 27.
The Consett restaurant premises are listed for sale, complete with a modern ground floor dining and bar area plus a large lower ground prep kitchen and storage.
One unit on offer is a “partially fitted restaurant”, spread over ground and lower ground floors.

The ground floor features a “modern glazed frontage” leading into a 714 sq ft dining area and bar; the dining area benefits from a 12-month-old air conditioning system, and tables and chairs can be included if required.
Fixtures and fittings included, subject to agreed lease terms.
The ground floor space includes a commercial kitchen fitted with a stainless steel extraction canopy, a gas range, and preparation areas.
The lower ground floor provides a secondary kitchen, prep areas, and a storage area extending to 590 sq ft.
This area includes stainless steel worktops, wash-up facilities, and a walk-in refrigerator, providing a substantial capacity for extensive operations.
Meanwhile, unit three is a “self-contained”, newly refurbished retail/office unit with independent access and an accessible WC.
The units were previously interconnected to create a larger restaurant and could be combined again if required.
A sale of the two units together on a long leasehold basis could be considered according toΒ estate agents, Graham S Hall Chartered Surveyors.
