See inside the revamped Red Chilli in Northallerton

Established in 2007, the Red Chilli is a family-run restaurant owned and managed by Mojibur Rahman who has lived in Northallerton with his family for more than 20 years.

The restaurant, which prides itself on quality Indian food cooked by experienced Bangladeshi chefs, temporarily closed its doors to undergo a full refurbishment last month.

Owner Mojibur, 50, said: “The restaurant has a new bar, new dining area, everything is new. We are very pleased with it and our regular customers have given us amazing feedback for it.”

Pictures of the refurb show a vibrant array of colours on the walls and the ceiling, complete with immaculate tables and a new bar area, lit up in different shades of blue.

Taking to social media on Friday (February 27), the restaurant posted: “After a beautiful refurbishment, our doors are officially open again.

“Step inside to enjoy our refreshed space, the familiar flavours you love, and a few delightful surprises we can’t wait to share.”

The restaurant currently holds a 3.6-star review on TripAdvisor, with 66 ‘excellent’ reviews.

One review said: “Staff are smiling and engaging. The menu has a wide variety of old favourites and more creative choices.

“We have tried many different menu choices which have always been tasty and beautifully cooked. It is great to have a reliably good Indian restaurant close to home.”

Opening hours include every day from 5-11pm.

The restaurant provides dine in and a takeaway service including vegetarian and vegan options.
