Jason Tindall’s Gosforth bar Say When to open in former Ponteland Yolo
Say When opened in Gosforth in December with Eddie Howe’s right-hand man as an investor, and will take over the Yolo bar in Ponteland.
It will close on Saturday (February 28) before being handed over to brothers Joe and Ollie Brack, who own the chain with Tindall and a host of other Newcastle spots including Brack Burger.
Joe Brack, co-owner of Say When with his brother Ollie, said: “We have had an amazing response to Say When in Gosforth, and weβre very excited to be bringing the brand to this fantastic site in Ponteland.”

The Brack brothers began their hospitality journey during the pandemic, launching Brack Burger and expanding into a portfolio of seven venues across the region,Β including the newly established Say When.
Say Whenβs Gosforth site has already proved popular with its self-fill wine concept, and been visited by some of Newcastle United’s stars including Sandro Tonali, Kieran Trippier, and Sven Botman.
Yolo’s former owner Neill Winch, who also owns Stack, said: “We have had some fantastic years at Yolo Ponteland and we are very grateful for all of the support we have had from everyone in the village.
“It felt the right time for us to move away and allow a totally new concept to take up residence and having worked with Joe and Ollie previously, we know they are exactly the right operators to take this venue on the next stage of its journey.
“We wish them every success.”
