Everflow in Peterlee launches electrical waste disposal service
Everflow, of Peterlee, which operates across the UK, has introduced a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) disposal service designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) safely manage electrical waste.
The new service covers items such as batteries, vapes, and small mixed WEEE items.
Suzanne Mitchison, waste services director at Everflow, said: “By introducing a dedicated range of containers for vapes, batteries and small electrical items, weβre making it easier and safer for businesses to dispose of this hazardous waste.
“The new service reinforces our mission to simplify utilities management and help businesses save time, reduce risk, and stay compliant while freeing up valuable resources.”
The service is targeted at sectors including education, hospitality, hotels, and officesβareas where electrical waste volumes are rising.
Electrical waste remains a growing problem in the UK, with 1.3 million disposable vapes discarded each week.
Many of these vapes contain lithium batteries, which pose significant fire risks if not disposed of properly.
Β As a result, businesses are under increasing pressure to ensure electrical waste is handled safely and in line with recycling regulations.Β Β
Everflowβs solution includes purpose-built containers designed to collect electrical waste while reducing workplace hazards.
The service also provides scheduled collections and full compliance documentation, helping businesses meet recycling regulations with minimal effort.
The launch is part of Everflow’s wider mission to support SMEs by simplifying utilities management and promoting safe, sustainable operations.
Everflow now offers services spanning water, waste, and connectivity.
