Koselig Bakeri announces opening date in Stokesley

Koselig Bakeri, which has stores in Guisborough and Saltburn, will open its newest bakeshop on Stokesley High Street on Saturday, February 28 at 9.30am.

From freshly-baked cinnamon buns and cruffins to smooth coffee, the venue will be serving up a range of sweet treats and drinks from its new “dream” home.

In a post on Facebook, the team said: “Your newest neighbourhood bakeshop opens Saturday 28 February, 9.30am.

“Stokesley feels really special to us. It was the first place we ever visited for a farmers’ market, and somewhere we’ve always hoped we might one day open a little Koselig on the high street.

“If you’re new to us… hello.”

The owners previously said they hope to create a welcoming environment to customers, describing the new shop as a “cosy spot” for the town.

The team also highlighted its importance on community and how it hopes to bake for customers in the area.

The post added: “Your neighbourhood is ours.

“Local is what we care about, from our community clubs (Pin Drop Book Club, Rise & Run Club and craft nights), to stocking local retailers, working with nearby suppliers, and baking for the people around us every day.

“We’d love it if you came down and gave us a try. We hope you love it as much as we love making it for you.”

Since the announcement, many fans of the bakery took to social media to share their excitement.

One person said: “So happy to have you here in Stokesley! We have visited your Guisborough and Saltburn shops lots. Looking forward to visiting our local Koselig very soon!”

While another person said: “Amazing that new businesses are opening on our high street. Can’t wait to come into the shop later this month – good luck with your opening!”
