Radgies hoping to open soon on Victoria Road, Darlington

The former Top Taste Pizza on Victoria Road will reopen next month as ‘Radgies’.

The unusually named takeaway is the brainchild of Darlington-based owner Ishy Miah, who learnt the trade working at his dad’s long-established venue Cafe Spice.

Signage for the bright pink venue appeared at the former pizza shop earlier this month.

A taste of Nashville and South Asian food will be on the menu, including smash burgers, Nashville Chicken, curry, pizzas and parmos.

The 23-year-old owner said: “We want to make an impact, and be different to everyone else in the town.

“When we thought about the name, we didn’t want it to be boring. Radgies has a lot of personality so we went with that.

“I’m a bit stressed and nervous but I’m mostly excited.

“I hope the town likes it and I’m looking forward to opening.”

An opening date is yet to be confirmed but Ishy is hoping to open some time in the first two weeks of February.

He previously teased the opening on Facebook saying: “Something naughty is coming. opening soon ya (sic) little radgies”.

Signage above the pink-themed storefront reads: “Est. 2026 RIP your resolutions”.
