JD Wetherspoon to remove 12 items from pub menus – full list


The popular pub chain launched its 2025 festive menu on November 12, which included sliced turkey breast and winter vegetables, a brie and bacon burger, and a cookies and cream blondie.

The festive menu has been available in all of Wetherspoon’s more than 800 pubs across the UK.

However, the festive menu is only available until December 31, meaning the 12 items that are part of it will be removed from all pub menus in time for the new year.


Why are so many UK pubs closing?


The 12 items on Wetherspoon’s 2025 festive menu, which will be removed after December 31, are:

  • Sliced turkey breast and winter vegetables
  • The Big Cheese burger
  • Festive loaded chips
  • Brie and garlic mushroom pizza
  • Brie and bacon burger
  • Chicken and stuffing burger
  • Mushroom & garlic burger
  • Chicken, stuffing, bacon and cranberry panini (Deli Deal)
  • Brie and cranberry panini (Deli Deal)
  • Southern-fried chicken and stuffing wrap (Deli Deal)
  • Cookies and cream blondie
  • Giant profiterole

Several other items have been axed from Wetherspoon’s menu in 2025, including steaks, mixed grills, and gammon, which wereΒ all permanently removed on May 14.

Wetherspoon’s Β£6.49 chicken bites wereΒ also “temporarily unavailable”Β earlier this year, but eventually made a comeback.

The pub chain did not reveal why they were temporarily removed from menus.

Wetherspoons offering pints for 99p in January

But it’s not all bad news for customers, with more than 600 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK, offering a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 99p for a limited time during January 2026.

The January sale at Wetherspoons begins on Friday, January 2, and will end on Thursday, January 15.

In Scotland, the offer will begin on Saturday, January 3.

The drinks set to be discounted as part of Wetherspoon’s January offer, and their prices, are:

  • Worthington’s (pint) – 99p
  • Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml including a mixer) – Β£1.99
  • Tanqueray gin (25ml including a mixer) – Β£1.99
  • Coldwater Creek wine (250ml glass of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, RosΓ©, Merlot) – Β£2.99 each

AΒ full range of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks will also be available for 99p, including:

  • Guinness 0.0
  • Corona Cero
  • Brewdog Punk AF
  • Stella Artois Alcohol Free
  • Thatchers Zero
  • Koppaberg Alcohol Free
  • Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa
  • Gordon’s 0.0Β Pink Gin (Β£1.69)

Some food options will also be discounted during January, including an 11-inch Margherita Pizza and a crunchy chicken burger, served with chips or a side salad, for Β£4.99 (with a soft drink) or Β£6.52 (alcoholic drink).

These discounted prices may vary at Wetherspoon’s 200 other pubs.
