Ferryhill flower business moves to new home in cemetery
R & P Flower House, run by Rebecca Eldrett and Alyssa Findlay, has relocated to the chapel at Duncombe Cemetery in Ferryhill.
The move comes after responding to an advertising campaign for vacant properties by Ferryhill Town Council.
Rebecca Eldrett and Alyssa Findlay, co-owners of the business, said: “We are absolutely delighted to continue our floral journey within the cemetery.
“We canβt wait to work closely with the community and hope to bring comfort, joy, and beauty to every space we touch as we create the very best blooms.”
Previously operating from Ferryhill town centre, the pair decided it was time to move to a dedicated space for their growing business.
After viewing the chapel, they quickly felt it was the right place to expand.
Councillor Angus Ferguson, mayor of Ferryhill Town Council, attended the opening of the new premises and met the owners and their daughters, Rubie and Poppy, after whom the business is named.
Cllr Ferguson said: “It was a privilege to attend the opening of this fantastic new business and to meet Rebecca, Alyssa, Rubie, Poppy, and their families.
