Nando’s confirms opening date for Bishop Auckland restaurant
The chicken chain has announced that it will be opening the doors to its new venue at the Bishop Auckland Retail Park on Wednesday (June 11).
The restaurant, which boasts 115 seats inside and 16 outside, will be serving up all the firm’s classic dishes plus new menu items including the big cheese, Peri-honey and charred corn.
It comes two months after Nando’s decked out the retail park unit in its branding while teasing: “It’s about to get hot in here”.
From structural lighting design and geometric fabrics to striking Southern African artworks on the walls, the Bishop venue has been given the true Nando’s touch.

The restaurant will not only feature a frozen cocktail machine but will allow diners to order delivery and click and collect so they can enjoy the chain’s food from their own home.
The site, which has created 35 jobs, will be open from 11.30am until 10pm every day.
Bishop Auckland Retail Park is continuing to attract big name brands following the completion of the first part of the complex in 2024.

“We can’t wait to welcome customers to enjoy our famous Peri-Peri and good vibes at our newest location in the North East.”
